Putin is simply responding to the increased encroachment by the Americans and their puppets.
For example, the missile "defence" systems in Poland, and now the attempted absorption of the Ukraine into Team America.
In short, he's looking out for Russia's legitimate interests.
The madmen are those in Washington and London. They are pushing the Russians to the limit here.
